The Other Borgo Family

I wish we lived closer to these guys.  We love spending time with family.  And my boys were just thrilled beyond words to spend time with their only cousins.

Doug, Lacy, A. and A. came for a visit all the way from Colorado and we had such a fun time.  We fed the ducks in our nearby pond, visited Legoland, the Wild Animal Park, Presidio Park, and Old Town.  We also squeezed in some much needed pool time, enjoyed reading books together, and created art projects!

And let’s not forget Balboa Park.  That is where Doug and Lacy wanted to have some family portraits taken.  Plus, Lacy,  a wonderful children’s book author , andneeded some recent headshots for her upcoming publications.  You wanna pick up a copy of my favorite book written by Lacy? Click here for the Amazon listing.

So, back to the park – I love the many faces of Balboa Park and we were able to explore it for almost 2 hours.  You already met my oldest niece in this blog post.  So now I’d like to introduce you to little A.  and the rest of the Borgos.  Here are just a few of my  favorite images, love you guys!

P. S. Drama Department: Headshots

Last month, I had the pleasure to work with these young women and men from one of the finest schools in San Diego County.  They have all studied under the direction of Natasha Ippolito and have performed in various festivals in San Diego County.  Just before many of them graduated, I got a chance to photograph them.

What a dream!  They were all NATURALS in front of the camera!  Very polished, very professional!  Incredible.

The Plunkett Family: Sneek Peak #2

Ta, da!!!  And now the adults!  I processed these in a more vintage fashion – less contrasty, more dreamy and romantic.  All families get to choose their favorite processing style when they select their images.

My 3 favorite processing styles:

a) my signature “color punch”

b) the lovely vintage look

c) dramatic BW with a touch of chocolate toning (mmmmmm, chocolate . . . .)

Tori PiercyJuly 22, 2010 - 2:49 pm

The Plunkett Family – Sneek Peak

When Maura first contacted me about family portraits and mentioned that this would be as part of her birthday celebration, my heart just stopped.  What a great way to celebrate a landmark birthday!  She mentioned that her entire family would be convening upon San Diego to enjoy a week’s worth of festivities and would take part in portraiture session.  Her husband, her kids, their spouses, and, of course, her grandchildren – 18 people in all!  Whoa!    I have to be honest, I was a little scared of such a large group.  But, I couldn’t have asked for a more sweet family, for such polite, easy-going kids, for such adorable couples.  It was so much fun!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Plunkett family – you guys are darling!

Here is sneek peak #1.  The grandchildren!
