The White Family | San Diego Matrenity Photographer

It was my extreme pleasure to meet Keri, Drew and their two boys O. and I. for a family portrait session and maternity session combined!  This family is so super sweet.  Keri and Drew really know how to have fun with their boys, who are very close in age to my two boys.  Big brother O. was incredibly patient and extremely cooperative – what a sweetheart he was with his mommy.  Little man I. was a bundle of energy, independent, and super intelligent.  My reverse psychology techniques didn’t work on him as I tried to round him up for a family shot.  Ha, ha!

Both of these cutie-pies are about to welcome a sibling into the family!  Yahoooooie!  And I get to meet the new bebe next month for newborn images.

And Drew and Keri.  Wow!  What can I say?  They are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing.  They didn’t mind one bit when I asked them to cuddle.  Nope, they didn’t mind one bit when I asked them to “make out.”  *giggle*  And, then . .  they started dancing.  YES!  Dancing!  Adorable!  I am thrilled that I get to spend the “year” with them – since I’ll be documenting baby’s first year.

And the last thing I NEED to say is . . . . Holy smokes!  Check out the completely gorgeous, amazingly beautiful Keri.  I mean . . . really.  REALLY!  I’m speechless.

Baby F. | San Diego Newborn Photographer

Baby F. was quiet possibly, the most relaxed baby I have EVER photographed.  When mom Angie and dad Brendt arrived for the photo session, Baby F. was sleeping peacefully in her car seat.  Very common.  All babies arrive asleep to their photo sessions.  We got Baby F. out of her car seat – she was still sleeping, got her out of her warm jammies – she was still sleeping, took off her diaper, she was still sleeping, propped her up  for the first shot – she was still sleeping, put the elfin hat on her – SHE. WAS. STILL. SLEEPING.  She did wake up towards the end of the session.  Which was a good thing because I got a chance to spy her gorgeous peepers.

W. (Pure Baby Squishy-ness) | San Diego Newborn Photographer

This big guy was pure baby squishy-ness.  What a cutie-patootie!  Really, I could barely take my eyes off of him to put the camera up to my eye.  *sigh*

I wanted to try a few shots of Baby W. out in nature.  Sadly, the morning was a drizzly one and so we didn’t stay out to long, but we were able to use a vintage, wooden cradle to keep Baby W. nice and cozy while out in the “woods.”  Truly, my fave images are the ones of mom Danielle and dad John cuddling Baby W., completely besotted with him and each other.

Danielle and John, it was my absolute pleasure to photograph your cutie-pie.  *sigh*

Eliko and Peter | San Diego Maternity Photographer

I’ve known Eliko for nearly 15 years.  She is one of my dearest, dearest friends.  She was my maid of honor, actually.  I have always admired her intelligence, her style, her loyalty, her warmth.

I remember about 12 years ago, when I wasn’t yet married to my hubby (we were just moving from the friendship stage to the flirting stage), we were in line to see a movie and I was telling him about my day and how I had hung out with Eliko.  I started telling David, “Oh!  Eliko is just so gorgeous.  She is super smart.  She is a great listener.  She is so sweet with her kindergarden students, they all love her.  She is trilingual, you know.  She is truly a treasured friend.”  David then turned to me and said, “Can you introduce me to her?”  I’m pretty sure I glared at him.

And here are Eliko and Peter now.  Awaiting the arrival of their little bebe.  Both wondering if he or she will be have mama’s nose or papa’s toes.  Or mama’s sense of independence or papa’s artistic flair.

And I couldn’t be any happier for my gorgeous friend who is truly glowing, like she always has.
