One of my faves of the wonderful Q. family.
Coronado Beach Photos

More to come in the next few days!

What did you do this past weekend? We spent it together as a family. We sometimes get so busy – soccer games, birthday parties, photo shoots, concerts, work, cleaning, laundry – that we sometimes “split up,” one of us tackling responsibilities, commitments, chores and the other one having fun with the kids. I loved our family weekend. Here are a few snaps . . .

I love photographing kids! They are so true to their emotions once they get to know you and feel comfortable around you. And because of this, their emotions, their enthusiasm, their personality fully shows in their expressions, their beautiful faces.
L., what a boy! What a handsome, charming, and vivacious little boy. Just look at that smile, the way he crinkles up his eyes, just a little. You just gotta love him!

My HS Senior photos didn’t look like this! Raise your hand if you had to wear a cap and gown and were holding a rolled up piece of paper for your senior photos. Okay, okay, . . . raise your hand if you had to wear one of those fuzzy, off-the-shoulder wraps.
With the school year about to begin, this is the perfect time to book your senior photos if you are graduating in 2012!

How about some basic BW processing for today? Yeah!
Honestly, my fave way to process an image into a BW is in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR). It is super simple and incredible effective and accurate.
Here is a pic taken at the end of June of J (seriously, a cutie!). I just saw J., his older brother N. and their mom and dad on Saturday, so I pulled up this pic to show you how to do a quick BW conversion.

And that’s it! Now, this isn’t my good ol’ Lemon-y BW conversion – I’ll show you how to process for a warmer more yellowy tone in the next installment of “So, What Exactly Do I Do To Your Pictures.” Hope this was helpful! Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know if there is a specific post processing tutorial you would like to see on my blog.

I have more images to share of the lovely little ladies at the pool. If you missed pt. 1 which I posted last week, CLICK HERE.
Thanks again to Zoe, Stacie, The Sheraton Hotel in NJ and to THESE lovely little girlies.
